I think feedback is an important part of learning. I know for myself if I do not have the opportunity to correct my mistakes, I often do not go back and do it on my own. We have an education system that is linked to learning for the upcoming test and then reviewing for the final. Often times, the gap in between those two tests has a brain dump and you forget. I appreciate when I get the opportunity to work through what I got wrong or what I didn't do correctly.
My first article was "Why Rejection Hurts So Bad" by Guy Winch. I thought this was interesting because I struggle a lot with feelings of inadequacy. I appreciated his break down of the psychology behind it. I think that many people attribute rejection to internal factors like "I'm not good enough" or "someone will always be the first choice". This was presented as a lie in the article. We tear ourselves down before we even get the chance to understand why the rejection happened.
My second article was "Seven Ways to Crush Self-Doubt" by John Spencer. He wrote by giving self examples. I admire that in a writer because it truly creates a bond between them and the reader. If you can present yourself completely to the reader, they have a trust for your words and your advice. He discussed a lot about changing our mindset and our routine to eliminate the option of self doubt. I appreciated the ideas because it allowed me to think and evaluate it as it is in my own life.
